Introduction
If you are looking for how to apply for a Thailand Digital Arrival Card, the practical answer has two parts. You can complete the official Thailand TDAC application directly through Thailand Immigration, or you can use an independent assistance service such as VisaPal to help prepare and submit it.
This page explains how to complete a TDAC application with VisaPal: what to prepare, what each step involves, and what happens after payment. VisaPal is not the official government website. The official TDAC remains free when completed through Thailand Immigration.
For timing rules, see when to apply. For the information checklist, see TDAC requirements. For what the service fee covers, see TDAC cost.
Before you start
Have the details ready before you begin a Thailand arrival card application. That usually means:
- your passport, so names and numbers can be entered exactly
- your arrival date and related travel details
- accommodation information for your stay in Thailand
- a working email address and telephone number
- a record of countries or territories stayed in during the previous 14 days, where required
VisaPal uses a secure online application. Sensitive information is encrypted before it is stored. No customer account is required.
Step 1 — Confirm your arrival date
Start by confirming when you expect to arrive in Thailand. VisaPal accepts assistance requests for arrival dates from today up to seven calendar days ahead, using Thailand calendar dates (Asia/Bangkok).
- if the date is today, tomorrow or the following day, it falls inside the official TDAC submission window
- if the date is three to seven days ahead, VisaPal can accept it as a secure pre-booking and hold it until submission becomes eligible
- dates before today, or more than seven days ahead, are outside VisaPal's current booking window
Pre-booking is not the same as early official submission. Thailand Immigration currently allows TDAC submission within three days before arrival, including the arrival date.
Step 2 — Enter your personal details
Next, enter the personal and passport information required for the Thailand Digital Arrival Card application. Use the details exactly as shown in your passport, including:
- family name, first name and middle name where applicable
- passport number
- nationality or citizenship
- date of birth
- gender
- contact details such as email and telephone number
Accuracy matters more than speed here. VisaPal relies on the information you provide when preparing the submission on your behalf.
Step 3 — Add your travel information
Add the journey and stay details needed for the TDAC. This typically includes:
- arrival and departure dates where applicable
- purpose of travel
- mode of travel and transport details, such as a flight number
- accommodation type and address details in Thailand
- recent travel history for the previous 14 days
Have your itinerary and accommodation information available so you are not guessing mid-form. If arrangements are still changing, wait until the details are reliable enough to enter accurately.
Step 4 — Review your application
Before payment, review the full application. Check passport numbers, dates, email address, transport details and accommodation carefully.
You will also need to confirm that the information is accurate and authorise VisaPal to submit the TDAC on your behalf. Those confirmations are part of the service request, not a claim that VisaPal is part of Thailand Immigration.
Step 5 — Secure payment
Choose Standard or Express processing and complete payment through secure checkout. Prices are shown before payment. VisaPal does not store your payment card details; payments are handled by Stripe.
Processing begins after successful payment and receipt of the required information. You are paying for VisaPal's assistance service, not for a government TDAC fee. Service conditions are set out in the Terms of Use.
Step 6 — Receive your completed TDAC
After payment, VisaPal reviews the request. If your arrival date is already inside the official submission window, the application can be processed for submission. If it is a pre-booking, the details are held securely until the request becomes eligible.
Once processing is complete, VisaPal emails the completed TDAC directly to you. Sensitive application information is retained for no more than seven days from VisaPal submission and is then permanently deleted. How that data is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Common mistakes to avoid
Rushing the passport fields
Names, passport numbers and dates of birth must match the passport exactly. Small typing errors are one of the most common reasons applications need follow-up.
Using an uncertain arrival date
Eligibility and pre-booking status depend on the arrival date you enter. Confirm the date before you continue.
Guessing accommodation details
Enter the stay information you actually expect to use. Incomplete or invented addresses create avoidable problems later.
Skipping the review step
The review screen is there so you can catch mistakes before payment. Take a moment to check every section carefully.
Mistyping your email address
Your completed TDAC is delivered by email. If the address is wrong, you may not receive the document even after successful processing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I complete a TDAC without VisaPal?
Yes. The official Thailand Digital Arrival Card can be completed directly through Thailand Immigration without paying VisaPal. VisaPal is an optional assistance service for travellers who want help preparing and submitting the application.
Do I need a VisaPal account?
No. You do not need to create a customer account to start a Thailand Digital Arrival Card application with VisaPal. You provide the required details, pay for the assistance service and receive the completed TDAC by email.
What if my arrival date is more than three days away?
If the date is still within seven days in Thailand time, VisaPal can accept the request as a secure pre-booking. VisaPal submits the TDAC only once the arrival date enters the official three-day submission window. See the when to apply guide for the full timing rules.
How will I know my application is complete?
After VisaPal has processed and submitted your eligible application, the completed TDAC is emailed to the address you provided. Keep that email available for travel.
How long does VisaPal keep my information?
Sensitive TDAC application information is retained for no more than seven days from VisaPal submission and is then permanently deleted. Limited non-sensitive operational records may be kept separately where needed. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Is VisaPal an official Thai government website?
No. VisaPal is an independent travel-document assistance service. It is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Government of Thailand or Thailand Immigration.
